Do you ever find yourself at school, at the office, or home with the kids, and wishing you could save time preparing two meals based on one recipe?
Well I have something to share with you – and it’s even better than that.
It’s better because you:
- Will satisfy yourself for a meal
- Will have something on hand as a treat to your kids
- Can prepare it in 2 minutes (aside from soaking & dehydrating time)
- Will have more energy (insane amounts of nutrition, anyone?)
- Can use a conventional oven instead of a dehydrator in case you don’t have one
- Can take on the run – whether you’re going to be in school, at your desk, or in transportation
How does preparing breakfast and a dessert at the same time sound to you? I hear a heavenly string section kicking in…along with cheesy, highly amplified guitar chords from the 1980s (no offense to anyone!)
So there I was, wanting to put together a raw granola cereal recipe. It was in the middle of the day and I needed a serious energy boost. But, I was also craving cacao. Adding cacao was not an option because honestly, I’m not a fan of cacao-flavored cereals.
But the beautiful thing about raw foods is that there’s always a way to get the desired nutrition, energy, and taste all in one, and there’s always a way to make multiple dishes using the same ingredients.
And so, Purna’s Raw Vegan Superfood Cacao Cookies came to life. They’re rich in omegas, antioxidants, beta-carotene, fiber, complete protein, calcium, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, magnesium, iron – and a whole lot more! And let me tell you, these superfood babies taste way better than they sound – and look!
Gnom, gnom, gnom! Purna’s Raw Vegan Superfood Cacao Cookies
So, what did I do anyway? I made one batch of a raw cereal, then, using the exact same ingredients (except for the cacao and increasing the quantity of one ingredient), I made these Raw Vegan Superfood Cacao Cookies – awesome finger foods while anyone’s stuck at a desk, in class, or on the run.
Now I know you want the recipe, and I definitely want to share it with you. In order to get the recipe sent to your inbox, do the following four things (which will take all of 2 minutes):
- Answer the Question of the Day below
- “Like” RAWk’n'Heels on Facebook
- Add @RAWknHeels on Twitter
- Subscribe to my YouTube Channel, PurnaBhat
Don’t forget, there’s one last thing – to answer the Question of the Day below. Then, you’ll be RAWk’n out and hearing the same old school guitar chords as I was this afternoon!
Question of the Day: Which superfood are you itching to try?
If you like the recipe, don’t forget that you can get loads of simple desserts of all kinds in my e-book, “Raw, Vegan & in Transition: Desserts.” Want in on some of that sweet stuff? Click here for more details and grab yourself a light & love-filled copy.

Purna
Love!
